INDIA BEFORE AND AFTER: SOCIAL MEDIA

In   24th   January   2004   a   website   was    created   , in which people   could   add   each   other   , and express   their   views  publically  about   anything ,named “ORKUT” .That   was not   the time of smart phones   and   in  India   the   availability    of  net   was   not   too  much .  After   it   some   students of Harward  university   created a website  named  “ FACEBOOK”,   which  have too  much   changed   the  world .  In July   2006   “TWITTER “was created   and   people   are   also   using    it   with    interest. These are   known   as social media.  It   has   become   an    important   part   of    most   of    the    people.  We   have     spent   a    long     time   with   social    media   and   till   now    we    have    seen   all   the faces   of     social       media   .  We   should   think    how   we    were      without   social   media.  Before social   media      public     debates    on   any   issue   were   limited   only   in   Tea   and   Pan    Shops, offices, totally   we can   say   that   each   debates   were only    limited   in the  working   or   activity  area  of   people .Many  incidents,   those    were   effected   to  people  very   much   but   they   could   not  express   their   thoughts    publically ,  because    there  were  not    any      platform    for  it .   People   depended   very   much   on   media   for   raising    their   issues.  Because    of   it in many   cases   in which   anybody’s   problem could   not   reach    to   governments   and   he compelled   to   suicide   otherwise   continuing    to   face problem.  Many   of   people   were   trapped    in   foreign   countries   in any    problem   and   their   voice   could not reach to   India    for help   .  We   can say that   our   democracy   was   not   complete   without   social   media   because   people   have   no   platform to   share   their   thoughts.  If    government    just    take  any  wrong  step  ,it  is  necessary  that   all  nation  create   a  consensus   against   it  ,But   without    social   media  it  was very   difficult   because   there  is no  connectivity   between   people  of  different   places.  Although   this is   the country of Laxmibai,  Nanashahab  Peshwa   whose  create  a  Revolution of  1857 in  all  over  country ,by  special  symbols   of   communication  ,In this country  Mahatma  Gandhi  did  many movements  and   gave our country   freedom    but  we  should  remember it that nobody   is  like Gandhi ,Peshwa ,Laxmibai  in present  time  .so we have depended  very  much  on media  to raise  our voice , and  dependency  on  any individual   is not a good thing  for  any   democracy  .People   who  interested  very much in country’s problems  and  politics  but  not in  media and politics had  a  fire  to express their  views ,to participate in  social  debates .So  when social  media operated   people  started  to linked with it  ,public debates were  started ,news of all type  as they  small or big  come  in social  media ,people  of different  places but of    same thinking  comes  to connect and   social  media  became  weapon for  people  to  raise their  voice .when  such type  of   debates   started   our politicians   compel   to  come  in social media  and face  to  public  because   they  knew   that if  they  would  create  a strong  position in social   media ,they would  win half of their  political fight .Coming of  politicians  strong very   much to   social  media .
Above you   have   read the   story   of social   media   till the coming   of   politicians on social   media. When someone want to become famous by defaming opponents then real problem started.  We   can say  that   evil  has  come   in  social  media .When   people  began  to   troll  of   the  politicians  ,they  used   an    idea  ,they  give  jobs   to  some  young  person  to    join   social  media    and    support  them    by   any  way . It  is  saying  that   the expansion  of  the   anything   may  be  destroyer    for   itself   if it  increase  negatively.   With increase   of time   many  people  join  social  media  .Many  people   talk in  a abusive  tone  always  ,there   is  no  effect  on them   that  where  they  are  ,whether in  their    house  ,roads , office, they  don’t    think  that  who  is  before  them  whether  ladies  ,old  men  or  children .You   can  think  that  when  such    type        of  people  join social  media  what  would   be done  .Such type   of   people only cerate abusive environment during social  debates. Social  media  become   a    place  of   abusive  peoples  and    it  was  the   loss  of  those  people   whose   said   their   thing   with   a good  manner    ,Politicians  ,journalists   ,got an excuse   to  not  reply  people  because  they are   abusive ,all  of  them were   not   abusive   but   we  know   that  the  person   who   is  politician  or  near  to  politician is  very   excused    , they  began  to reply  only  them   who  were  supporter  of them   otherwise   sometimes  to  opponent .
As I have  explained  that   real  power  of  social  media  the connectivity    ,to  connect  the people  and  anything   is  transmit   here  very  quickly  so  when  at some  place any   wrong  or right  incident   happened ,it transmit  here very  quickly and people  express  their  view  at once  about  it .  Some bad elements   began to   start   misuse of   this quality   of   social media   and   they   started   to transmit here rumors about everything   , communal   or about   special person   .  In   such   elements  ,some  were of    our  politicians   who  wanted   that   peace    should     be    fractured   so   might  they   could  do  their dirty politics ,some   were  anti-Indian   elements  as   I.S.I    Of  Pakistan   . In last   some   years   there were   many    riots in India    and   social   media   was   an   important   factor   behind them. So after   social   media entry, India   has   become communally sensitive.
In   some   cases  ,  a person  blackmailed  other  by   capturing  a   sensitive   data  as  photographs  ,  other  detail    about   him   and  said   that   he  would   viral  these   detail  on social  media  .So   connectivity   of  social  media   has   become   a   weapon  for  these   kind   of   criminal   mindedness  people .
 
So after   analyze   few important aspects of   social media in context to India we can say that, social   media   has changed   India   very   much, India   has become   more   conscious on social issues,politics .Democracy of  India   has   become  more  strong   and   every   person  are   raising  their  voice   very  easily .But   there  has  also   some   problems   created   here  ,the  misuse  of  social  media ‘s   connectivity   is  in   one  of them  that   is pushing   India  towards   conflicts  ,communal   violence  and   fluctuation .
